i love me some finches!! and i love the monkey balls, too. we don't have those funky, spikey things here. i thought of you, sherrie, whilst gathering hawk feathers abandoned on the ground after an obviously catastrophic and tragic event. there was a little coyote skull near it but i declined to bring the thing home with me...ewwww.
Lovely little goldfinch...you can always hear them before you see them.
