A New Generation of Daneus Plexippus
Another Monarch caterpillar, yay! I am ridiculously excited!
Apparently, if you grow it--"it" being milkweed--they WILL come. This one is HUGE, most likely about to go into its chrysalis. I like to think this is a descendant of my special needs butterfly...
I really wanted to try to get some milkweed at my house this year so that I could get some Monarch butterflies. A teacher I work with was telling me about it, but I guess around here they are doing a seed saving/sharing thing to get them more widespread again - and they were all out of seeds. So, I will try again next year.
