Hello Little Friend

A monarch! I tell myself that this is a relative of one of my little hatchlings...probably not, but it's a nice story!

This one is quite battered--check out its right wing, which is missing a big chunk.

 It's the first one I've seen this spring; it hung around in the yard for quite a while. Welcome!
