Ewwww: a lizard tail, left behind by its owner. This is both cool and rather disgusting, in my opinion. At least it means--let's hope--that whatever predator probably caused it to lose its tail did not get to eat the lizard as dinner.
Ooooh: a blimp, right over my head (and rather low, too).

A Million Kinds of Awesomeness
This photo shows a truly awesome gift: a pair of plastic salt and pepper shakers. Cool in and of themselves (we actually collect midcentury plastic things). But check it out:
That, my friends, is Loretta Lynn's signature!!!!! Oh, yeah. In Sharpie, on a pair of plastic S&P shakers, the autograph of the Coal Miner's Daughter. Way, way cool, yes?
They were given to me by my very sweet and wonderful friend who purchased them on the spot at Loretta's "ranch" in Hurricane Mills, Tennessee. My friend is a fabulous storyteller, and the tale behind the getting of these beauties is quite a tale indeed--handmade Loretta Lynn fan T-shirts are involved, for one thing. Alas, she did not witness Loretty actually wielding the pen, but she did get to see her perform. Ah, if only I could have been there...but I got the next-best thing: Loretta Lynn's signature on some plastic salt and pepper shakers! Am I lucky or what! (Thanks a million for being so awesome, Laura!)

Hearts (and Love) Are Everywhere
Check it out: this is my amaryllis plant after the blooms died...they made a heart for me (a heart with a ponytail?). Below is what it looked like in full bloom.
This is a bulb I got "new" two years ago--I'm never sure it's going to produce again when I retrieve the wizened bulb from the potting shed, but it's come back gangbusters two years now...I should have faith, I guess. Nature--it's pretty grand, isn't it?
P.S. Please excuse the dishes and plastic bag drying in the top shot...it ain't pretty, maybe, but it's my life! (At least they're clean dishes and not dirty ones!)

Tallulah-Palooza Friday
I'm not the only one who loves Target popcorn: now is when we need a flip book so you can see this girl in action. She is unbelievably talented when it comes to catching things, in part due to her incredible focus: note the popcorn in the fifth image hanging there in the air with Miss Mae's eyes firmly glued to it. (Also: please excuse the ironing board in the background--tsk, tsk!)

Less-Than-Adorable Cutie
While I rather love the color and texture of this mold, it does make this particular Cutie (tiny clementines, for anyone who doesn't know) less than cute, don't you think? (I actually smelled that something was rotten in Cutie Denmark for several days--you know that smell, not bad, really, just uber-citrusy--and I was just too lazy to dig around and find the culprit. The result? Behold, a furry little Cutie.)

A Cuppa with My Best Bloke
B. and I went for tea at Shakespeare's Tea Shoppe last week. His mother is British, so we take these sorts of teas with a grain of salt, as it were--his mum is always saying that most Brits would not recognize what is served as "tea" (the repast, not the beverage) in this country. But no matter...
The little sandwiches were yum (served with Branson pickle), and mine were all vegetarian, which I appreciated. The scones were absolute perfection (most American scones are just not right--too big, too cake like, not enough of that light, almost biscuity texture). The sweets, not so great, but a fun time was certainly had by all.
God Save the Queen!

Tallulah-Palooza Friday and Number 1,000!!!!
Tallulah Mae is shouting the news: It's the 1,000th blog post here at Foziewisp! Woo-hoo ... {confetti and balloons drop}.
That means there have been 245 (plus this one) Tallulah-Palooza Fridays (everyone's favorite day of the week)! Tallulah Mae is downright amazed.
Thank you to all of you who drop in on this little corner of my universe from time to time. Blogging is really an important part of my life, and I'm glad you're here to share it with me.

A Confession . . .
Hi, I'm Sherri, and I have an addiction to Target popcorn. I have to have it anytime I go into Target, no matter what time of day. (Today was extra-special because my popcorn spilled in my car, all down into my parking brake, into that gross place that you can't reach beside your seat, under my seat, etc. Fun!) I still love you, Target popcorn, even if I did have to go to the gas station to use the vacuum.

Reindeer Confab
I realized that I forgot to share with you my Christmas reindeer confab, and I also noticed that Great-Granddaddy reindeer up there is giving me that look--you don't want to annoy him, trust me; that white glittery one knows the score--so here it is:
Love. Them. All different kinds, but in order to keep the collection sane (ahem), I limit myself to only those standing up...if you're lying down, you're not entering this group--sorry, lying-down deer, but one has to have limits. Or so I'm told...

Deliciousness, Times Two
This was my New Year's Eve dessert: salted caramel pot de creme. Although it doesn't look like much in this photo, it was unbelievably yummy--sadly, after three other courses, I was too full to eat every last bit of it (but I ate most of it!). Dinner was at my current favorite restaurant, Urban Solace.
This is a savory cake filled with sweet potatoes and dandelion greens. It had the consistency of a loaf cake...served with a green salad for dinner. OMG: Yum. (Made by B., BTW, not me...he's the resident chef!)
