Tallulah-Palooza Friday

So, we have breakfast, I take my morning pills and leave B.'s for him to take...and Miss Mae has decided to sit at the banquette and wait patiently for the glory that is apple juice. She sits, she waits...ultimately, she gets the dregs. It is exceedingly cute--and she is exceedingly smart. And have I mentioned that she is CUTE?

Poppiness

These poppies come up every year...they were part of a mystery seed mix that I bought at the Museum of Gardening in London about 15 years ago. So ephemeral...they only last about two days, then the papery petals fall off and the seed pod (above) is left. It dries out and tiny holes open around the edges and the teeny black peppery seeds then fall out and are scattered.

Yolk Lore

A double-yolk egg! It apparently only happens once in 1,000 eggs, and in most cultures, it's considered good luck. Some also believe that it means impending pregnancy--if that happens to me, call the Pope because it would be a true miracle!

And a funny-looking large green egg, too--nah, just fooling (it's an odd avocado [odd-o-cado?], actually, with such a teeny pit). This is actually a picture of lunch! Yum!

Tallulah-Palooza Monday

Holiday Monday means bonus Tallulah! Enjoy!

P.S. It also means ice cream was consumed. It's the law--in our household, in any case.

Travelogue Thursday: Florence: Capitolo Tre: Battiporta

Even the door knockers in Florence are cool... (There a few things here that aren't door knockers, but they are on doors...).
