A Fine Afternoon
A cup of tea and a finished piece of embroidery (it's a tea towel...it has a matching one with onions, I think--next up!).

Sampler
This is a self-drafted sampler of some of my favorite things. I started it years ago as part of a blog stitchalong but I didn't get very far and I tucked it away. When I got it back out, I didn't like very many of the squares I had done and I ripped out all but 3 of them and in essence started over. Are there wonky things? Yes!
I really like how it turned out, even with the wonky stuff. It was so fun to make this--I was a little sad when I finished! Now to press it out and frame it up!

Yerm
These called themselves "cardamom (donut-ish) tea cakes." I think the "donut" part is reflected in the sugary topping, while the end result of the "cake" is rather muffin like. They are quite tasty, whatever they are!
(And yes, that is a big divot in that one at right up there. The recipe said "pop them out of the muffin tin"--um, there was no "popping" involved, more like trying to use an offset spatula and them shaking them out of the tin. Popping, indeed!

Done
I finished this cute embroidery piece that was part of a "stitchalong" on Instagram. Pretty cute, and some stitches I was not familiar with. I added the 3 little bees, which I think are pretty darn cute (if I do say so myself!).

Garland-y
This is kinda cute, yes? I sewed vintage Christmas cards onto bobble trim (love!). This is two separate garlands--there is a button and a buttonhole on each end so that you can combine several together. I had planned to get these into my Etsy shop so that folks could buy them, but...best-laid plans/mice/men, etc. etc. etc.

Sewing Zen
Made for a friend's little neighbor. Sewing things like this is so relaxing for me and takes my mind off of...everything. So fun!

Christmas Crafting
This was, obviously, kind of a weird year, so not much Christmas creating/crafting happened. But this did, and I think it's pretty cute!

Garlandy
I made this garland/bunting from vintage Christmas cards and had it hung in my booth two years ago when I sold at a vintage market. Kinda cute, yes? I've put it in my Etsy shop to see if there is any interest...if yes, I have the supplies to make more. A LOT more!

Anatomy of a homemade pizza: dough's first rise.
Second rise.
Flattened and rounded.
Finished product! So so yum (it's a collaboration: I made the dough, B. made the pizza).

Science
I made Mason jar ice cream...a fun little experiment that tastes more like what it is (shaken and frozen whipped cream) than "real" ice cream. Still, kinda cool and seems like a worthwhile thing for kids to try.

Watch Out, John James Audubon!
Hey, y'all, I sketched a bird! I'm ridiculously proud (leaving aside the horrible feet/legs--the online instructor didn't cover that, LOL). Super fun...our homework assignment is to sketch FIFTEEN birds this week...yikes!
