Tallulah-Palooza Friday
I have a new toy: a teeny-tiny Kodak video camera! Please enjoy Tallulah Mae enjoying the leftovers of a frosty coffee drink (note that she's already had the dregs of one cup...). I promise not to overuse the video, but I just had to try it out! (The quality isn't great here, but I think it's Blogger video...must try Vimeo instead, because this looks just fine as a video played in Windows Media on my computer.

Portrait of a Chicken
Isn't she gorgeous? I do love me some chickens!
On my imaginary farm, I have lots of chickens; donkeys; little goats; sweet sheep; and mini-horses. Oh, and several bee hives. It's a lovely farm where nothing ever dies and all the animals are blissfully happy; they romp and play and come when you call their names. Come and visit, won't you?

Yarn Bomb!
Have you heard about yarn bombing? It's where someone stealthily places knitting/crocheting on public items (trees, bridges, statues). Here's an example that I found over the weekend. In the immortal words of Miley Cyrus (wink wink), that's...pretty cool!

The Tenth Circle
...of Hell.
Or "Las Vegas" as it is known (most sincere apologies to all of you--and this includes my family--who adore Vegas. To each his/her own, right? I know there are places in this world that I love that others simply can't stand or wouldn't dream of visiting...).
I was there on Saturday for the wedding of my sweet niece and her fiance. She was a most beautiful bride and he was a most handsome groom. But Las Vegas? Um, ick.
I was there once before more than 10 years ago, and B. and I (and my parents) actually had a
really fun time: we saw the Liberace Museum; an Elvis impersonator; Hoover Dam; the neon sign graveyard; and the Flying Elvi. It was fun--once.

I Love Donuts (Peaches, That Is...)
Aren't these Saturn peaches (also called "donut peaches") just lovely?
My little pachyderm friend thinks so too--and her ears match!
And for the record, I LOVE real donuts, too...love love love them.

The Welcoming Committee
B. was away for a week, so the welcoming committee was on hand to greet him upon his return. The sock monkey held up a sign.
While Tallulah Mae...did what Tallulah Mae does best--she supervised.
(Actually, Miss Mae goes absolutely berserk when B. returns, even from a day at work--it's as if he's been gone forever...crazy girl [and only for him--me, not so much!]. And I sewed up the sock monkey my ownself, from a kit; there's a pink one to come, a girl monkey for this boy monkey.)
