Ribbon Ribbon, Who's Got the Ribbon?
Ribbon heaven at Britex in San Francisco! I could just fondle it all day (but I didn't, because that would be weird!).

Yarn Posts
Yarn bomb-o-rama! Lots of stitches here, sprucing up some ordinary poles. That takes some commitment, yes?

Supervising
So this is what transpires when one of you (not me) acquires a stash of stinky/musty records: Operation Stink-Be-Gone!
Our supervisor has signed off on the work.

Happy Father's Day
We love you, daddies! Happy Father's Day to all the dads--young, old, dog dads, those still with us and those who are not--that we've known and loved. We couldn't have done it without you!
Here's mine with my gorgeous mom and my older brother...I think about him and miss him every day, and I'm so happy to have had him as my father.

Before and After
Isn't it interesting how different flowers can look in their nascent form and then fully in bloom...this is echinacea.

This Week in Breakfast
At top, some yummy blueberry cornbread and a latte. The cornbread is yummy, not too sweet and chock full of berries, as you can see. And at the bottom of the latte bowl? A random heart, yay!
The bottom pic is one of my faves: raw oatmeal with berries, a bit of brown sugar, and lots of milk.
Yum!

Baby McSkunkerson...
...was stuck in a rat trap. Poor little thing somehow got its front leg stuck in the side of this rat trap--not a snap trap, it's the kind that has poison inside--and was desperately trying to get it off (including chewing on its leg).
I called Animal Control but couldn't wait (doctor appointment); they did come, and they did free the little one and took it away (some plumbers working nearby gave me the details). Yay for Animal Control, who actually came relatively quickly (and left me a message saying they were on their way after a stop at a vet office). And a shout-out to Miss Robin from Various and Sunday--we are longstanding partners-in-crime when it comes to rescuing animals!
I hope little Monsieur LePew is resting safely somewhere tonight. Poor baby. Skunks are actually very cute! (And even if they weren't, every living thing deserves to be treated with kindness.)
Be well, little McSkunkerson!

Hair Today, Gone Tomorrow (Friday, Actually)
My hair has been growing long for several years now, ever since I cut it short(ish) as I stopped coloring my hair and let the natural color grow out. Time for a change, so I had 10 inches lopped off and sent that ponytail off to Pantene's Beautiful Lengths program to be added to a wig that will be given free of charge to a breast cancer patient.
I didn't have chemotherapy so didn't lose my hair during my breast cancer treatment, but anything I can do to help a woman going through that...in a small way, I hope this ponytail does some good!

Delicate Flower
I'm not at all sure what this flower is...it is tiny and grows on a bush; it is some sort of wildflower (found in Presidio park). There is a tiny random heart up there...do you see it?

Cushion Drive-By
Hmm...I wonder why this chair cushion looks like this? What on earth could have happened?
Ah, now I understand.
Does anyone else's dog do this, or is Tallulah Mae just extra weird? Maybe with extra cute and extra smart you get extra odd?

Travelogue Tuesday: Florence Streets
Movers! Things from the top floors come down on a little elevator.
I think these photos give a real sense of what it's like to walk down the streets of this medieval/Renaissance city...close your eyes and you might imagine seeing Michelangelo striding down the street towards you carrying his tools. Amazing...
By the way, "Travelogue Thursday" is now "Travelogue Tuesday"--Thursday is date night, so not the best time to try to do a more intense blog post.
