Dove Love Nest Construction

Sweet little dove gathering up bits of grass to make a nest in the tree that sort of straddles our property and the neighbor's property.

I have a real fondness for doves and hate it when people say anything mean about them! I love their coloring, their calls, and the fact that you almost always see two together.

As promised, even fluffier peonies...they are about to blow all of their petals, and they smell glorious!

Should It Stay or Should It Go?

I found this ultra-cool ceramic tile/wall hanging this weekend at a thrift shop in Sun City, Arizona (home of VERY good thrift shops!). It is by Joseph Simon, made for Soholm Pottery in Bornholm, Denmark, in the 1960s. It is quite large and quite heavy (and in perfect condition).

I bought it to sell on Etsy: as you can see, these items generally command a nice price. But we rather like it, so...should it stay or should it go? Hmmm...
