 This tiny little cutie spent quite a long time in the fountain this afternoon...very skittish, though, so I had to stay back (hence the less-than-sharp pics). Love its face in the last picture: Grumpy Bird!

Signage

 Our street had its first-ever block party last Saturday. My small contribution was making signs--they're kinda cute (if I do say so myself). And the rosettes were given out in the dog costume contest.

A New Arrival (and Departure)

 While there were four in my latest batch of caterpillars, I could only find one chrysalis. And it took more than two weeks for the butterfly to emerge, so I was worried that something had gone wrong. But yesterday:

I sat and watched it for a while--I might have talked to it as well, ahem--and then I went inside. About an hour later, it was gone. Yay!

Strawberry Solstice

This is the so-called Strawberry Moon last night. The bottom picture looks a bit like a van Gogh painting, doesn't it?
