 I don't normally go in for fake signs--always prefer the authentic, in every way!--but this one (from World Market) was just too cute to pass up.

 It's over the bulletin board, with one authentic sign (the chef) and another not-vintage one.

And it's across the room from these, which are both the real McCoy.

P.S. I WISH there were fresh pies baked daily in my kitchen--yum!

Birds Birds BIRDS!

Say Hello to My Little Friend

Post-bath...this sweet little bird (I think it's a girl finch) sat in the tree right outside our bedroom. I think she knew I was there because she kept turning her head and peering in. I tried to be very very still!

Nursery Seen

 A bumble bee! Rarely see them anymore...this girl is loaded with pollen.

Hummer Time

This little dude/dudette hung out in the flame tree right outside our bedroom window for about 15 minutes. I believe this to be a rufous hummingbird, which is smaller and not green/grey like the Anna's we usually see around here. It seems to have taken up residence...so tiny!

Les Poulets, Ooh La La!

These lovelies (and a few more of their friends) live at the neighborhood nursery, Mission Hills Nursery. They have even made it onto the sign advertising the newly opened coffee stand. Y'all know I LOVE me some chickens!
