Rudford's
Nothing like an old-fashioned diner and old-fashioned diner food! Yum!
This is Rudford's, which has been operating in San Diego since 1949.
(There used to be a really cool vintage bowling alley next door, but because everyone always has to ruin everything, it was torn down and some hideous and nondescript "luxury condos" replaced it.)

After the Rains
After the torrential rains we had at the beginning of the week, this bit o'beetle washed out of the downspout. The color really is lovely, isn't it? It looks like an emerald in the rain...

A Windy Day
...apparently it was SO windy that it blew someone's size 34D DKNY bra right off them! This was lying in the middle of my street. Hmmm...

Love Trumps Hate
This balloon floated over our heads during the march on Saturday. Fitting...I DO believe love/respect/compassion will ultimately win the day.

Tallulah-Palooza Friday
Tallulah Mae is modeling my pink pussyhat (cat ears!), which I knitted to wear in tomorrow's Women's March. It doesn't look quite right on her, but that's only fitting. 'Cause she's a dog.

Oishii Udon
Heaven in a bowl: delicious (oishii) udon from Chopstix...vegetable tempura to the left. I could eat this EVERY day and never tire of it.

Betty Beer!
Because my sweet grandmother's name was Betty Maxine, I just had to try this beer (selected for me by B.): Betty IPA!
And it was delicious...

Rainy Day Stitching
A rainy morning spent doing some knitting (yes, it IS a belated Christmas present--don't judge me, y'all) and watching "RuPaul's Drag Race" and "Project Runway Junior." Fun!

Kiss Me
Look what Santa brought me: lovely luxurious cosmetics from Besame, whose products are made here in the U.S. and are patterned after vintage cosmetics. They are a special treat!
They're re-created a number of lipstick colors from various decades--this one is from 1946 (a lovely red!). And the powder, in that sweet compact!
(Besame [which is missing an accent] means "kiss me" in Spanish, in case you didn't know...)
Thanks, Santa (you know who you are!) ;)
