Tallulah-Palooza Halloween Review Week: Day 1
Tallulah Mae did NOT enjoy dressing up or having things put on her head.
The struggle is real.
My little angel girl...

Tree Abstract
What an amazing swirl of color here...it almost looks like a painting! (It is trees in Rittenhouse Square in Philadelphia.)

Flame On
You gotta love a cement mixer that has flames painted on it...spotted on the freeway near L.A. (of course!).

Surprise Outing Fun
On Saturday, B. surprised me with a VERY fun outing up to Carson to the L.A. Printers Fair, held at the International Printing Museum. Many many talented artists and printers had their wares on display...
A linotype machine! When I first started editing, we still used linotype to print our catalogues.
So very fun...printing, in all its guises, is an amazing thing--without Mr. Gutenberg, we would not have civilization as we know it (the good part of civilization, that is...we can't blame the current state of the world on him!).

Snack Time
When your sweet husband brings you coffee and a snack...
(I confess to not knowing anything about Paw Patrol, but the cookies are awfully cute!)

Number One
The first pumpkin has arrived--yay!
(I'm not done with Philadelphia photos, just haven't had time to sort/edit them yet--more on the way!)

Garden Peek
The cutting garden is still going strong, even into October...lovely picotee lisianthus up top, purple stock and zinnias below.
And dahlias!

Wanamaker's
This is Wanamaker's (now a Macy's) in Philadelphia. It is a true retail temple, built in 1910.
John Wanamaker, a native Philadelphian, invented the concept of the department store (including the use of price tags!).
This is the world's largest (working) organ. In a department store!
The store is jaw-dropping...I can only imagine what shoppers thought when they entered the doors of this magnificent building more than 100 years ago.

Philly Phlowers and Pholiage
Too early for autumn colors on the trees, alas, but LOTS of gorgeous window boxes...really lovely.
A cherry tree! Where is George Washington?
