Oops, no post yesterday, so here is yesterday's post today: a female oriole enjoying the grape jelly at the feeder.

Tripod Lizardo

 Not sure what happened to this lizard's foot...birth defect? Cat attack? In any case, it was in the garage with me a few days ago, just sitting there staring at me. I tried to shoo it out the door and it ran behind a bookcase. Today, here it is outside--it somehow finds a way to get out. He/she is very fast and doesn't seem to really miss its foot.

Sahara Effect

 This really resembles a winter sunset...perhaps this color is due to the huge Sahara dust plume?

Who Needs Restaurants...

...when you can eat at home and have yumminess like this tomato tart, made by B. So GOOD!

Yowza!

 More peony glory...it feels as if it's rather late in the season for peonies, but since 2020 has been a completely f**ked-up year, why not?! (Not complaining as I absolutely love them!)

Crinkly

Another cool Matilija poppy bloom...I love how the pollen has fallen around the stamens to make a faint little carpet of yellow.

Domo Arigato, Mr. Lizardo

Check out the awesome tail on this lizardo...ever since our next-door-neighbor cat moved away, the lizards get to keep their tails!

Spectacular

How gorgeous are these cactus (?) blossoms? If they are like most cacti, these flowers are extremely ephemeral and will only last a few days.

Greens

So many shades of green here. Do you spot the green pinecone?

Ladies Having Coffee

 These ladies are enjoying coffee together...in their robes. Did they have a ladies' slumber party?

The ladies in the top photo are having a good time.

In this one, I think there might be some tension. The redhead seems to be giving the stink-eye to Ms. Yellow Robe...and from the look on the face of Miss In-the-Middle, I think she might have instigated it.

Garden Gems

The sweet peas are on their way out, alas...these seem to be the last few (boo). The roses had a first bloom and are now blooming again. So fragrant!

Neighbor Nello

Nello! This adorable and sweet boy lives behind us. Today he got out and went on a bit of a a neighborhood tour. He is now back home safe and sound. Look at that face!

 That thing where you have the sweetest husband ever who brings you these gorgeous flowers to celebrate our anniversary--which was four months ago! Tuberose was in my wedding bouquet...

These roses are actually a darker, more velvety red...the camera is making them brighter than they are. They are amazing! As is my sweet B. ...

 We reupholstered this tatty piano bench yesterday...it was a team effort!

 On Monday, I looked outside and saw this. Hello? Where did he/she come from?

 I put him/her into a cardboard box. It enjoyed some lettuce...
