This little dude/dudette scored a French fry off the ground yesterday as we were having lunch. He/she shook it repeatedly to break off little pieces. Finally, he/she hopped away with its prize.

Ride 'Em
Happy happy birthday to this little equestrian! It's your birthday, sweetest B., but you are MY present, each and every day.

Pointed
I love the juxtaposition here of a sort of colonial-shaped sign coupled with the script "Pancake Restaurant" signs, and then with that big ol' atomic-era arrow. A real grab bag! (As noted many times before, I love a good arrow sign!) Aunt Emma's is a classic!

Happy Thanksgiving 2021
I am filled with gratitude for all of the abundance in my life, and for all of my family and friends who are there for me. I am MOST grateful to be married to B., who makes me happy every single day.

Still Going...
My rose bushes continue to bloom, one or two flowers at a time...they will probably keep it up until I cut them back at the end of the year.

Moon, Clouds
Such a beautiful moon tonight...it was more orange than in this photo, and the clouds across it reminded me of a Japanese woodcut. Lovely!

Bees, Borage
I couldn't get a good photo of the pollen pants on these girls--they were almost white!
And this pink borage flower was on the same plant as many purple ones...

Surrogate
Tallulah Mae and I used to sit out on the back steps and enjoy the lovely fall weather (too hot in the summer). I was sitting on the steps this afternoon thinking about her...and I looked down and two steps down was this lizard. It hung out with me for a while, basking in the sun, just like Miss Mae.

Hello, Phoebe
It's hard to get a good photo of a phoebe because they rarely stay still. They are so-called flycatchers, so they are constantly swooping around eating insects.

The Battle of the Cleft Chins
While that could have been the name of this 1947 film, it was actually called Out of the Past. Kirk Douglas and Robert Mitchum--advantage Mitchum, methinks...

Sewing Zen
Made for a friend's little neighbor. Sewing things like this is so relaxing for me and takes my mind off of...everything. So fun!
