Drama!
Teeny tiny moon up there between the middle palm trees.
Venus and Jupiter are soooooo close tonight!

Sorry, folks, but the spiffy new camera is thrilling me--as are the robins--so here are two more robin pix. I think they've moved on now, alas...
Monday was a national holiday, so of course we had to have ice cream (it's the law...well, our law, anyway). This was delicious spumoni gelato (gelato DOES count as ice cream!).
I have a new camera--it's fancy! (It was an anniversary present from my sweet B.) It has a definite learning curve, but this photo was one of the first batch I took today.
What a cool flower stalk on this succulent (agave?). And yes, I am aware of its phallic properties, LOL...
This dude/dudette must have been hiding in a very large dead plant that I pulled up; I had it resting in a trashcan as I chopped it up to better fit into the greenery recycling barrel.
I'm not sure who was more surprised, me or it!
I couldn't resist buying this super cute Boiltex counter standup (it does stand up with a tab in the back) for my sewing area. I mean...cute!
In addition to the incredible influx of robins, we also had one of my very favorite birds come to the fountain: cedar waxwings (thus named because of the orange waxy tips at the ends of their secondary wing feathers; it's not exactly clear what purpose this serves, but perhaps [of course!] to attract a mate). Aren't they just so gorgeous?!
Finished this cute embroidery; it was part of a stitchalong, with the pattern provided free by the organizer (she sells her patterns and has published a book).
This is much like the one I participated in last year (same pattern designer). Fun!
Why does it look like someone is waving or raising their hand just outside my kitchen window?
(It's actually wooden spoons in a jar...)
