Hanging On

 

This gorgeous amaryllis, bought before Christmas, sent up another shoot with four big blooms on it (wow!). And the teeny poinsettia looks as good as it did the day it came into the house, also before Christmas. 

Annual Display

 

It's time once again for the annual display of wisteria; this one is just down the street from us. We need smell-o-vision: it smells heavenly!

I moved a container and found this little guy curled up against the wall...it's unusual to see them them with their tails rolled up like this (at least, unusual for me to see them with curled tails). And yes, it is alive--it scampered off after posing for the camera. I love our little lizardos!

Last night we went to hear Jordi Savall and Le Concert des Nations performing pieces from Tous les matins du monde (the gateway drug for all things Jordi Savall). Breathtakingly beautiful and exquisite (Maestro Savall has a face that could have easily have been in a Hans Holbein painting.)
