This Pisces girl LOVES the ocean...as soon as I get out of the car and smell the air...ahhhhhhh.
It was freakishly hot yesterday and the water felt lovely on our feet.
The sand along the beach looks like it has flecks of gold in it.
A hermit crab in a shell...
Some sort of crab (too big for a hermit, I think) out of a shell...
And some crab legs--guess the seagulls don't consider them a delicacy.
A living sand dollar--the familiar white sand dollar we've all picked up is actually this same creature's "test" or exoskeleton (we threw this one back out into the water; same with the hermit crab above).

Oh, a belated Happy Birthday..didn't know till I read JuJu's comment. Thanks for sharing the ocean...we had rain and wind yesterday ann snow on the ground this am. It is supposed to get sunny later.
o i am so jealous! i LOVE the ocean and the beach! what beach? what ocean? lucky you! i was once at the beach and the whole beach looked like it was moving and it was 100's of black hairy sand dollars, crawling toward the ocean. i never knew they were black and hairy before that day...
