The very charming town of Salisbury, which dates to the Middle Ages.
Salisbury Cathedral, whose construction was started in 1220. It is beautiful (and has the tallest spire in England...you can climb up it, but we didn't [and couldn't have even if we'd wanted to because the wind was too strong at the top]).
Gotta love a good gargoyle!
This one is having his cheek pulled (eaten?) by some creature.
Another guy being munched on...
The cloisters.
Ahhhh...
Many people are buried here...this is a sad reminder of the reality of the time.
Windows, windows, windows.
Hey!
This for all the Tudor geeks out there (like me!). This guy was secretary to the infamous Cardinal Wolsey...
So charming!
The river Avon out our hotel window. Again, is this 2020 or 1620? Ah, England, how I love thee.
