Hello!

A very nice cockatoo...poor thing is wearing a little vest because it self-mutilates. He was very friendly and kept sticking his foot out, as if he wanted to shake hands. Domesticated birds...they are weird.

A Foziewisp First

Behold: a bird pellet! So cool...found it right in front of our house, under a telephone pole.

For those of you who don't know, a pellet is undigested material that birds of prey regurgitate (it's NOT poop!). You can see here lots of feathers and what may be a tooth? Fascinating! It's probably from a hawk, but it would be cool if it were from an owl! (Doubtful, as I never hear them calling).

Such a foziewisp! BTW, I don't find this gross or disgusting at all--hope you don't either!

March Moon-ness

The moon three nights ago was AMAZING--it was pure orange as it rose.

Alas, my camera didn't capture the true color, but this is kind of a cool shot, no?

Think Pink!

Our Western redbud tree is in bloom...it's the little tree that could--it was rather small when it was planted, and it is STILL rather small (relatively speaking). I love it.

Also, happy Pi(e) Day! I didn't bake one this year (or eat one, for that matter), but I hope some of you did!
