I know that many people do NOT like spiders--and I don't like them in my house, which is why we try to catch any interlopers in a jar and put them outside--but hopefully we can all agree that this garden spider is super cool looking. (I also do not like to see bees in their webs...) They often make a web, stay for a day or two, and then go on their merry way. Nature!

No matter what one's opinion is of the monarchy, no one can deny what an amazing woman HRH Queen Elizabeth was...she witnessed so many changes in the world over her 96 years (both good and bad), yet she never wavered from her ideal of service to her country above all else. 

(My English mum-in-law is looking down on all of us and raising a glass to "her queen"...)
