This sign is right across the street from the post office--a place I of course went to many, many times with Etsy parcels--and every single time I see it I think, "Boobs?" I mean...that logo does not even resemble fish, does it? I don't think the right side ever had an "eye," but maybe it did and someone said, "Look, dudes, those are BOOBS!" Ha!

This sign in Lincoln, Nebraska, is a marvel: its position on the building, the fact that it is a No. 2 pencil, and the red neon outline--which still lights up--all combine to make it just fab.

We are in Nebraska to see the sandhill cranes. I'm still sorting photos (and I'm still here, so more photos may be taken!)...turns out, moving birds (in low light due to overcast March skies) are very hard to photograph--who woulda thought?

Long-Time Abandoned Sign

This sign for Nickerson Farms, near Picacho Peak, has been here, in this same condition, ever since I moved to Arizona in 1982; it's on the road between Phoenix and Tucson. Apparently the restaurant closed sometime around 1980 and the building has since moldered to the ground but the sign lives on...
