Interlude

I love it when I find quirky things in and amongst the vintage things I buy and sell--this is a groovy pad of notepaper, and in the back I found the poem above. It's kind of a bummer, yes?

Wallpaper Heaven

Well, I just MIGHT have purchased about 300 piece of wallpaper on Friday. Um, yes, yes I DID! And it is all kinds of FABULOUS! I'm a paper freak anyway, and these are just glorious. There are some duplications, but not many. Glorious.

What am I going to do with it, you ask? I will do my best not to hoard it (though that is my inclination with paper). Most of it will go into my Etsy shop...stay tuned, paper lovers!

Loveliness in the Mail

What's in this brown envelope sealed with wax?
A ton of loveliness from Small Meadow Press, that's what! These are bits and pieces from a most talented artist (here's her blog).
Love the chickens!
And I adore these two greeting cards with quotes about books/reading. This packet was a little holiday gift to myself...

(Sorry for the bad photos...cold and rainy and GRAY here for the past two days. Break out the woolies!)

Instruments of Beauty

Aren't these calligraphy brushes just lovely? I was told they were Japanese--not Chinese--when I bought them at an estate sale, but I'm really not sure ... I just love them as objects. And then, of course, there's the gloriousness that is this piece of washi...ahh...I heart Japanese paper!
