Beauty

I love this dahlia...the peachy-pink coloration is very subtle. It reminds me of Cafe au Lait, a very popular variety that frequently sells out (and is more expensive, often, because of its popularity/trendiness). This is not Cafe au Lait...

Popping

This poppy plant is the last remnant of a package of seeds I bought at the Museum of Gardening in London at least twenty years ago. They have reseeded every year without fail--except this year, where none came up where they traditionally have; this one is waayyy down the cutting garden at the other end. Just Peachy

These lovely peachy roses are from a tiny rosebush that has never thrived because it does not really get enough sun. And lo and behold, this year it has bloomed. (And they smell heavenly...) Go, little rosebush, go!

Soft Focus

Not sure why this rose looks as if it has been shot like a Joan Crawford close-up in a 1940s film; I did not put Vaseline on the lens...

Tiny Daffs

These just come up every year...not surer when I put the bulbs in the raised bed, but it has to have been years ago. Sweet!

Early Bird

I planted some sweet peas at the end of the year thinking I would have a nice early crop in April or so...imagine my surprise when I went out today to find two (very early) blooms!

World Record?

I feel as if we need to contact Guinness to see if the size of this African basil plant qualifies for a world record...one plant here! (The bees adore it, so that makes me happy...)

All of the gradations of color here...wow!
