Different Dove

This lovely is a white-winged dove, which looks similar to a mourning dove but is (obviously) different.

These photos don't really show this bird's wings at the right angle to see the white edges clearly, but the white feathers are peeking out.

And this species of dove has eyes that are lovely red/amber color, and the they have a striking blue area around the eye.

Abandoned

 Somewhere in Arizona...

(This is Wednesday's post on Thursday;  a power outage last night meant no blogging...)

Beam Me Up?

It looks as if this bird is being abducted by aliens...
...which it may have welcomed...

...because it was really really HOT!

(Reflection in photo one; the bird is doing the only thing birds can do to release heat. Poor baby!)

Bee By

The saguaros are beginning to bloom in Arizona...

And I just happened to capture this bee (unbeknownst to me) at the very top of this 25-foot tall cactus.
