A Drag (Race)

 

We went to the Race of Gentlemen (TROG) drag races in Riverside a week ago: SO. FUN. One of most fascinating things to watch was this fellow, who started every race. So amazing to watch him...

And Also Plus Two (Two Two Two Two)

 

If we'd driven yesterday, we would have hit 22,222 miles on 2/22/22! (But we didn't ... this was earlier today.) But still!

At first you might think, oh, what a cute Mini Cooper...but please look more closely at JUST how teeny this car is--it is lower than the parking meter! So so cute...and so so mini!

Remember this? The fab red vintage tractor has gone away, alas, but this super-cool mini-car has appeared. And the creepy pumpkin-head man is now joined by two clowns. How I love this!

How cute is this car? I am pretty sure it is a vintage Fiat 500, but I'm not positive. It is quite adorable, yes?

This ultra-cool car was in traffic next to us--low-rider coolness! The driver lowered the back and then the front. Love!

Snapshots from a Fun Long Weekend

Fun fun fun!

Classic car show at the Al Bahr Shrine {Shriners' temple); beer (at multiple places--the adorable boxer pup was at Societe; we also had beer at BorderX Brewing); delicious Mexican food in Barrio Logan (Salud, where they serve mulitas, a kind of quesadilla sandwich); ice cream cones as big as our heads (a reminder: it is the law that you eat ice cream on a national holiday, in case you didn't know).

The best part of all? Hanging out with my sweetie for three whole lazy days!
