Groovy

Just a fun pile of 1960s/1970s fabric...always makes me smile!

Quilty Goodness

This is a lovely soft and faded quilt--alas, it's also QUITE ripped up so I will be selling it as a "cutter" quilt. All hand sewn, pretty pastel floral prints...so much work! Hats off the the quilters of yore.

Rideaux de dentelle de France

Or..."lace curtains from France." After more than a year, we've finally gotten lovely new lace curtains all the way from France. They're perfect in the breakfast nook.

Curtain Love

How cute are these kitchen curtains? Love them...so cheerful (they're not mine, they'll be going in my shop).

Some super-cute tea towels...I love them (um, slight obsession, mayhap?)

Clothesline Week: Day Three

Sweet days o' the week towels...there are only six here. I like to think that on the one that's missing, the little elephant is having a beer and some guacamole...

Clothesline Week: Day Two

I really have a thing for old linens (napkins, tea towel, tablecloths). In addition to the ones squirreled away around my house, I've had a lot of success selling them on Etsy. These napkins were bought by a photo stylist who plans to use them in a cookbook photo shoot.

Clothesline Week: Day One

Don't you just love to see pretty colorful things flapping in the breeze on a line? I dry almost everything on this clothesline (not my underthangs, though)...I thought I'd share some pix with you this week!

Sewn

Every year my garden club--The Mission Hills Garden Club--has a very well-attended garden walk. This year a craft/white elephant booth was added, so I volunteered to make some things to sell. I made these frayed flower pins out of vintage fabric, vintage buttons, fastened to vintage cards... And not ONE of them sold...
I also made lavender-filled sachets...I think 3 of these sold... And finally, some pressed-flower gift tags. Two sets of 5 sold, out of about 50 that I made.
Oh well--I liked them, even if the garden walk attendees apparently didn't! It was fun to spend some time crafting; I even got my poor neglected sewing machine out of the closet and now plan to make myself some summer togs...

Ribbonacious

I don't mean to gloat or anything . . . (well, perhaps just a little!): imagine my utter delight when I was presented with this little pile o' goodness. It's from Hong Kong, brought over to this side of the Pacific by the nicest person ever, Frances, who went to the Sham Shui Po district (home of the bins of beads in my very first post ever) on Kowloon twice to round up this ribbony bonanza for me. How cool is that?!
There is Christmas ribbon . . .
Pretty pastel checks and stripes (slightly out of focus, sorry) . . .
And this: check out the dragon on the bottom trim!

Thank you, Frances, for feeding my habit (she and her husband have also fed my digestive habit as well!). Y'all are the best . . .
