Throwing it Back

 

Throwback to last February when we had robins and cedar waxwings in the fountain. Fingers crossed we will get cool visitors again this spring.

Magic Times Two

 

In addition to the incredible influx of robins, we also had one of my very favorite birds come to the fountain: cedar waxwings (thus named because of the orange waxy tips at the ends of their secondary wing feathers; it's not exactly clear what purpose this serves, but perhaps [of course!] to attract a mate). Aren't they just so gorgeous?!
