Swizzle Again
I tried to add these to yesterday's blog post but technical difficulties prevented it.
I LOVE this bee swizzle (of course I do since y'all know I LOVE bees)!
I did not know that Napoleon I had a bee in his coat of arms; historians differ as to why he chose to include a bee (industriousness, a link to ancient Morovingian kings in France, etc.), but some sources say that his coronation robe had 300 golden bees embroidered upon it (others say that they were not bees but rather fleurs de lys).
Vive l'abeille!

Sizzling Swizzles
So, I recently acquired a LARGE bunch of super-cool vintage swizzle sticks, of all shapes and sizes. Here are a few for your delectation (this is only a small sampling, by the way...). I love them--things used to be much cooler, didn't they?
(Some are already listed in my Etsy shop, Betty and Dot, with the others to come soon.)
