In the Wild

Time for the annual photograph of this amazing poinsettia plant growing outside a house in my neighborhood. Love it!

Hmmm...

This sign is right across the street from the post office--a place I of course went to many, many times with Etsy parcels--and every single time I see it I think, "Boobs?" I mean...that logo does not even resemble fish, does it? I don't think the right side ever had an "eye," but maybe it did and someone said, "Look, dudes, those are BOOBS!" Ha!

Wisteria: 2025 Edition

Every year... it is a bit sparser than usual due to a hard prune that was done for the installation of the new fence upon which it grows, but it is still beautiful!

Love Love Love

This is a really tatty, janky corner, so I don't mind these stencils at all...

Lucky Pole

Continuing with the theme of "quirky neighborhood stuff," this is random (and quirky).

Art Sale

Love this...unfortunately, it was last weekend, so I missed whatever fabulous art might have been on offer.

Local Library Love

I love the public library--this is the book return slot (temporarily turned into this robot).

Darling

This adorable and sweet little guy was a stray in the 'hood. Some kind folks took him to see if he was microchipped (he was not, alas), and then took him to the Humane Society, where he will be very well cared for. I hope his folks find him and take him home! (I love him.)

Wisteria Time Again

I will be very sad if this lovely stand of wisteria ever goes away or stops blooming...it's a yearly tradition to photograph it!

Some Signs

These are all from here in San Diego--I am determined to capture cool signs where I live, just as I do when I travel. And they need to be documented before they all get torn down...

Margie and Katie

I love a named apartment building--and NOT the modern pretentious crap like "Möde" or "Denizen." These are charming, and even though they are not right next to each other (but are within about a quarter mile or so), I have to think this is a dad naming these after his daughters. (The text is weirded out here because I inserted the umlaut; I have tried to fix it but cannot, so..._

What Is This

Wow, how long has this been here? When is the last time you've seen a public phone?

Obviously, not a corner where much good is happening...

Yesterday

The neighborhood parade, which will never ever lose its charm...

And the "Buck moon" super moon...
