My Little Tree...

...hangs in there. Our poor Western redbud tree is not well, but I love it so and am overjoyed when it flowers and leafs out every year.

SKWERL and Peanut

SKWERLS hide peanuts around the yard--often in my potted plants--and then enjoy a nutty snack later. (And this one does not have a spotty tail; those are water spots on the sliding door (which perhaps needs a good clean!).

Huh?

...is what this little finch must have been thinking when it landed on this makeshift birdbath (the fountain was temporarily out of commission).

This finch is wondering why that redbud leaf is all lit up...

Lounging Little Lizardo

A lovely lizardo lounging in the sun...look at its tail!

Super relaxed...
Kinda sleepy...
Wait...where did it go?!

This little dude/dudette was very very thirsty...

Wow

I was gifted these fantastic vintage watering can for my birthday from my very dear friend. It's huge, and I love it.

Not the best photo (oops), but you can see it there on the far right with its smaller brethren. So cool! Thank you, Miss W.!

Sunning

The poor lizardos...it has been grey/rainy/cold for a week or so. This tiny dude took advantage of the brief hour of sunshine today to enjoy the warmth.

Look how very tiny! I thought it was a grasshopper at first...so cute!

SKWERL Return

Our fountain was out of commission for a bit (slow leak), and while it was empty I watched a squirrel keep investigating to try to figure out why there was no water (which made me sad!).

Happily, it came back!

Humming Along

Such a pretty little Allen's hummingbird, perched in--and matching the colors of--the pomegranate tree.

Cloak of Invisibility

This lizardo froze when it saw me, perhaps thinking I might not notice him/her.

Um, how could I NOT notice?
We love our lizards!
