Sweet Beauty

 

Lovely little cabbage white butterfly enjoying some nectar from a lavender flower. You can see the proboscis in the first photo (and from afar it looks as if the butterfly has eyes with long lashes).

Lavender Love

Breathe deep...ahhh...

This is not my garden (though my front yard USED to look like this!). I will always and forever adore lavender, in all its forms and shapes.

It Never Grows Old...

No matter how many times I snap photos of bees, I just never get tired of looking at them...I hope you like to look at them, too!

Lavender Swan Song

The front yard...we're trying to savor the lavender--which mostly looked terrible all year, in part because it is English lavender, not the Mediterranean variety that thrives here; it missed the grey days and misty rains of its native land--because it's going to come out once it stops blooming. For the moment, though...just lovely.

Bee love (bee loving lavender)...this is one of those darling black fuzzy bees, a bumblebee, perhaps? I love the lavender, the bees love the lavender, I love the bees...it's a lavender lovefest over here!
