This sign in Lincoln, Nebraska, is a marvel: its position on the building, the fact that it is a No. 2 pencil, and the red neon outline--which still lights up--all combine to make it just fab.

Love a good neon sign, including a modern one. This is quite small, but it is a copy (authorized?) of this very large vintage car wash sign in Palm Springs. 

MOT TRA WIN

This looks like a cool old sign for the Trade Winds Motel...but they need to trim those palms! (I wonder when the neon was removed...)

El Indio

 

Love these small neon signs that I have never noticed before--even though I have driven by hundreds of times--on El Indio, a classic Mexican restaurant that has been in this spot since 1940.

I love this sign: the angle, the fact that "parking" is as prominent as "liquor," and of course, the arrow!
