Mob(bed) Scene
When you are a hawk just minding your own business in the top of a very tall pine tree and the crows decide to harass you repeatedly...note that the hawk doesn't do anything except look up at them.

Calling Mr. Hitchcock
Upon hearing quite a racket outside, we went and looked...and saw all of these crows (plus more not pictured here). Then they moved down about half a block and continued to caw. Then they all flew away. Weird!

Corvid Confab
Here we have what we believe to be a crow family...looks like maybe mom or dad on the right and three young ones (marked by their light-colored eyes and the bit of pink at the corners of their beaks). They were making quite a racket...
Note the blue eyes on these crows...
Synchronized crowing...
They are really really comical...even though crows robe nests (boo!) and make a mess in our fountain, they are quite fun to watch.

Bird Report
A sweet house finch.
And a crow. They repeatedly put things in our fountain (as I report every single year!). So far it has mostly been peanuts...not sure what this is. Only once this spring have I found baby bird parts (ewww).

Crow Crud
They are at it again, the crows, putting stuff (bread, peanuts, bugs, lizard bits, baby bird carcasses) in the fountain and birdbath. I know why they do it, but I really wish they wouldn't. (The birdbath is one thing as it can be tipped out, but the fountain's pump gets clogged up). Sigh.
