Tallulah-Palooza Friday

Tallulah Mae had a hard time choosing her Halloween costume this year...first she thought she might go as Reginald Terwilliger Havisham-Smythe III, Esquire. But we couldn't find a tiny little walking stick.

Then she thought she might go as Area 51--see the UFO over her shoulder? Too subtle, maybe.
Angel or devil? Hmm...
There she is: my little dog angel!
A thought bubble over her head: "If I close my eyes and wish hard enough, they'll take these things off of me." (And 2 seconds later, we did.) Happy Halloween, everyone!!!

It's Miss Robin's special day!!! Head on over to Various and Sunday and leave her some warm birthday wishes, 'kay?

Hello, Halloween! Day Two

(OK, strictly speaking not Halloween related, except for the pumpkin part...yummy nonetheless.)

Hello, Halloween! Day One

These little pumpkins were turned into these little jack o'lanterns (below) by wee little hands on Sunday. My garden club (Mission Hills Garden Club) holds a Pumpkin Day every year where kids can carve, paint, glue to their hearts' content. I look forward to helping out every year...

Unspiky

Much better, thank you! Something was turned on/switched off/translated from ancient Sumerian/patched with tinfoil/appeased with chocolate and butterscotch pudding, and now my technical difficulties are greatly eased.

Om...

Feeling Spiky

It's a bore, but I'm having computer issues again/still...If you've emailed me and I haven't responded (Hi, Dawn H.!), it's not because I don't love you, it's because I must frequently very gently close the computer lid and sob quietly into my hands. Kidding (mostly)... So I'm feeling a bit like this plant at the moment. Spiky.

Sadly, I think I'm going to have to create a new label: "Madness, Caused by Computer."

Tallulah-Palooza Friday

Cat's out of the bag (metaphorically, of course; more like DOG's out of the bag). Remember this post? Well, it progressed to the image above, then to this: TA-DA! Tallulah Mae, painted by numbers! So very fun!
It's a variant of the photo below (the original was a scan and Blogger didn't like it, so...) What do you think, Tallulah Mae?

The company that made the custom paint-by-number canvas is called Easy 123 Art...this fabulous kit was a birthday gift from my sweetest B.--as always, he gives the most thoughtful gifts!

Stanley McStanlerson

Let's check in with Sir Stanley, shall we? That sweet face! (I think he'd been snacking on some tasty dirt just before his portrait was snapped...)

Don't you want to just nibble on his adorable little haunches?
I mean, look at them! As they say on Cute Overload, cute Stanley 'tocks! (It's Tocktober, by the way...)

One Fine Day

So, it's a sunny day in October in SoCal, so what do you do? Why, go to the beach, of course (obligatory feet in sand shot above). Ahhh...heaven (especially for a Pisces like me!)

Deja Vu

Remember this post, from way back in May? A recent similar find, only this time I think the "fabric" is a fallen magnolia blossom.
