Up Close

I've been sorting photos, and I found these from 2021, taken with my phone...I am amazed at the clarity: you can see hairs on the bees' legs, grains of pollen legs, even tiny tears in the wings of the bee in the first three photos. So cool!

Bees, Borage

I couldn't get a good photo of the pollen pants on these girls--they were almost white!
And this pink borage flower was on the same plant as many purple ones...

Birdus Interruptus: Happy World Bee Day!

I think we all know how I feel about bees (LOL)...truly some of the most fascinating creatures on the planet. Let's celebrate them!

Welcome Back

The borage, which went crazy last season, self-seeded and is back, bigger and better than ever (really, the leaves are HUGE). It's just started to bloom--bring on the bees!

Borage Forage

I have tons of borage in the cutting garden...it has rather taken over, but I don't mind at all...my bee girls love it!
 Love its fuzziness...

And I have a plant that has mostly purple/blue flowers, but one pink one. Nature!

Garden Check-In

The very first sweet pea of the season--yay! It has already been cut and is by my bedside.

I have borage absolutely taking over one of the cutting beds. So pretty.

And another bed is filled with pinks (relatives of carnations, and with a similar smell. Love the paint-spattered look of this one.
