Up Close
I've been sorting photos, and I found these from 2021, taken with my phone...I am amazed at the clarity: you can see hairs on the bees' legs, grains of pollen legs, even tiny tears in the wings of the bee in the first three photos. So cool!

Happy World Bee Day
I love me some bees! Alas, we don't see very many varieties of bees anymore, mostly European honeybees--I miss the bumblebees.

Basil, Bee
A bee enjoying the African basil on this first day of spring. Alas, this fantastic monster of a plant is being trimmed way way back because of impending fence work. I hope the bees forgive me! (And I hope it will return to its former glory...)
