 First day of our Fun Fall Outing to Oak Glen. Apple cider donuts were had, and they were YUM.

B. and I worked together to make this yummy apple cake. We wanted a cake with real apples in it (not applesauce) and this one fit the bill. 

And it has yummy cream cheese caramel frosting...

Look at these lovely apples growing on my neighbor's tree! Not a common sight this close to the coast...wonder how they taste?

An Apple a Day...

...or in this neighbor's case, SEVERAL apples a day! Aren't they pretty?

When Life Hands You a Bunch of Not-Very-Tasty Apples...

...make applesauce! Yum! Six pounds of apples cooks down to these four jars. Easy-peasy! I recommend it...the applesauce tastes so fresh and you can sweeten it as much (or in our case, as little) as you like.
