Just Because You Can...

This was billed as "deconstructed lemon meringue pie" (it was the dessert at an event--I did not/would not order this).

Um, no: pie is sort of a perfect thing, right, with centuries of bakers making pies. Why mess with it? My English mother-in-law would refer to this as looking like "a dog's dinner." Blergh.

Windy

It was windy last night and this morning. That is the plastic sheeting covering our carport--and it is rigid plastic (not like a plastic sheet). I think we might need a new one...
