Toupee Warbler

Just kidding...this is actually a Wilson's warbler, migrating through town. Love its little black cap/wig!

Here it shares the fountain with an orange-crowned warbler, a species that seems to be around most of the year here. Love them!

Apparently this is an Asian lady beetle, NOT a ladybug. These are orange, not red, and they are invasive, not beneficial. They are pretty, though...

I've been sorting photos, and I found these from 2021, taken with my phone...I am amazed at the clarity: you can see hairs on the bees' legs, grains of pollen legs, even tiny tears in the wings of the bee in the first three photos. So cool!
