Smubbles

Are those stars?

Why no, these are super-cool (and weird) bubbles, which appear to be made of or filled with "smoke." They dissolve in midair or the moment they touch something.

(See the cool moon sliver there in the middle of the photo?)

And they were being generated by this contraption on top of a house. I've never seen anything like these before...and I'm glad I saw them!

Beautiful Garbage

All of my lovely get-well arrangements have gone bye-bye, but they continue to be beautiful, even in the greenery recycling barrel.

Monday Bird Funnies

That bummed-out feeling when the community pool is closed.

Synchronized finching.

Nothing like having the pool all to yourself.

"Ummm..."

When mom arrives and tells you it's time to get out of the pool.

"There's someone behind me, isn't there?"

"May I help you?"

When you stick your toe in to see how warm the water is.

"This is a private cabana, buddy..."

Bee Rescue

This poor girl was floating upside down in the fountain--down in the water, not up top where the water bubbles out. After unsuccessfully trying to fish her out with a leaf, I just stuck my hand in and scooped her out. She was a bit discombobulated initially, but after drying her face and antennae and walking around, she opened her wings and was just fine. Yay!
