Doggy Massage
It's a dog's life, indeed . . . we saw quite a few dogs in Japan--many long-haired dachshunds, for some reason--and they all looked pretty darn pampered.

Dear Sherri: Congrats on winning a Plastic Bag Rehab tote bag. Please email me your mailing address at DANNYBLOG@AOL.COM. Congrats! Best, Danny Seo
So cute! Japan definitely stands out from other Asian countries I've been to in that dogs appear well-cared for and often pampered (which they deserve to be!). I've also noticed the preponderance of small dogs (space constraints, easier to fetishize?) esp. long hair dachsunds as you say. A favorite memory is seeing an elderly gentleman riding his bike with baskets in front and behind, with three dachsunds in tow (they were all related!)--Dolores
Wildly in love with my husband B., former guardian of the late, lamented Miss Tallulah Mae (the wonder dog), adorer of all canines, dilettantish crafter, obsessed with birds, vintage shopper, lover of libraries, neophyte cellist, and foziewisp.
