Sweat + Tears x Years = Christmas Stockings

I started this project--knitting new Christmas stockings--in October. Of 2010.

I finished the one on the right last year and the one on the left this year, just before Christmas. They are realllllyyyy long. And they were done on double-pointed needles, my first--and last--experience with such. I worked on the leg section, and then when I got to the foot/heel, I had to stop until I could go to the Grove (the yarn and much more--it's a marvelous place) shop and get help from Susan, the oh-so-patient and funny and nice and talented knitting maven there.

But I must say that I do like how they turned out, small glitches and mistakes and what-in-the-world-did-I-do-here areas and all...

Love them! And love that they are long so there is much room for Santa to put things for good girls and boys!! I can't even imagine myself taking on such a project...

As cute as the stockings are, I'm most impressed with the fact that you started a project and finished it. That is too darn cool.

And, I think those socks would look so sassy with a fun pair of boots!

They are very cute. I love your color combinations. And as was said above, they look nice and roomy so as to hold lots of toys for good girls and boys.
