We usually rotate between a couple of favorites, epecially Niederfrank's (here's an article in Gastro Obscura with my photo at the top!).
Today we tried An's Dry Cleaning. They make delicious gelato, served out of a storefront that once was indeed a dry cleaner's. The flavors are interesting but don't veer over the edge into WTF. I had olive oil/rosemary and banana/chocolate. B. had fig/balsamic/ricotta--SO delicious! The gelati are named things like Felt, Gabardine, Linen, etc.
Cute, but not TOO twee.
