Take a Hike (I Did)

On Saturday, I went for a hike in Mission Trails Regional Park. So nice to have a park relatively close by with multiple hiking trails.

Jimsonweed--the fave of idiots trying to get high by smoking it; it's actually quite poisonous (and pretty!).

A gorgeous California Live Oak--there was a beehive somewhere in the trunk--lots of loud buzzing.

This is the Old Mission  Dam, completed in 1815 at the behest of Father (now Saint) Junipero was built with Indian labor. It was one of the first irrigation projects constructed on the west coast of the U.S.

A fun day! Always so nice to get out in nature--rejuvenating, and so important (now more than ever, in this hideous nightmare of an election season!).
