Euphorbia Pulcherrima
Behold, the poinsettia, grown outside and in its natural state. I think I posted about this last year, but it is such a SoCal thing to see these tall old plants in front of people's houses (check out this cool postcard with just such an image). They bloom--get their red bracts and tiny yellow flowers--as soon as there are about 13-14 hours of darkness. So pretty...
Wildly in love with my husband B., former guardian of the late, lamented Miss Tallulah Mae (the wonder dog), adorer of all canines, dilettantish crafter, obsessed with birds, vintage shopper, lover of libraries, neophyte cellist, and foziewisp.
