Fruit Picking 2009
Remember this excursion last year? Here are some photos from this year's fruit-picking fun! These are Fuyu persimmons. The trees are lovely...their leaves turn color as the fruit ripens. It was a glorious SoCal day...more photos tomorrow and Wednesday!
sherri, i don't even see them at the grocery stores! what DO they taste like? what we have fresh here is strawberries, rhubarb, blueberries, blackberries, apples, raspberries, grapes (in fact we even have a little winery about 15 min. north of us). you can drive over the mountains to the east side of our state and pick peaches, apples, cherries, and such. they sure look yummy in your pictures...
Wildly in love with my husband B., former guardian of the late, lamented Miss Tallulah Mae (the wonder dog), adorer of all canines, dilettantish crafter, obsessed with birds, vintage shopper, lover of libraries, neophyte cellist, and foziewisp.

Sherri, I see persimmons in the store all the time, but have never tried them. What do they taste like?
