This beautiful bird was initially calling and calling (you can see its open beak in the first pic), so I grabbed the camera and ran outside (yep, I really did run!). Then it sat there, almost basking in the light of the setting sun, which is making its chest feathers glow a lovely pink. Not sure what's going on in the last photo, but I do love the hawk pantaloons! Hawkaloons!This is perhaps a Cooper's hawk.... Just magnificent.
