Check it out: Barbie, Midge (that minx!), Annette, Babette (!), Tina, Liza (with a Z!), Polly (probably the teacher's pet), Gina, Babs (she and Babette probably had a bitter rivalry), Andy (Hi, Andy!), Don (Hi, Don!), and last and perhaps least, poor Ken. I think that might be Ken sporting the unfortunate shorts/kneesocks combo...
These were sewing patterns I sold on Etsy...when I think about all of the teeny-tiny stitches required to make these, and the miniscule buttons and microscopic hooks and eyes on these garments, just...wow, the patience of Job. I actually have some lovely hand-made Barbie clothes, myself, made with love (and patience and a magnifying glass, I think!) by Miss Vivi (thanks, Mommy!).

I love how the patterns have the word, "Instant" on there. I bet it was anything BUT.
Dang, Ken was old before his time, eh?
Those were the days!! I even remember crocheting some. It was fun & life was simpler then. I really don't remember Barbie having THAT many friends. I know she had a sweet little girl for a frined. XXX
Any friend of Barbie's is a friend of mine!

Poor Ken, he is the Rodney Dangerfield of the doll world. I used to let Barbie wear his underwear because he had them and she didn't.

Cross-dressing Barbie. Who knew?!

this brings back memories! i had some homemade barbie clothes, too...some of them crocheted. i never knew she had so many friends, either. WOW!! what a fun post, sherri
Those are the coolest patterns! I am glad to see that BABS is getting hitched (again!) and in bell sleeves, no less.
I have made countless Barbie wardrobes over the years. I love the minutiae of the notions and using scraps of fabrics to make designer gowns.
Thanks!
Nope, that's Don with the knee socks. Don and his girlfriend Suzette. Who, BTW, should have made the list.
I haven't been able to find Gina, though... she might be in witness protection.
