Flower Impersonations

The flower at top is trying to pass as an alien life form, while the bottom one is trying to impersonate an underwater creature (or vice versa, perhaps?).

Both are the same plant: it's nigella, aka love-in-a-mist. It's one of my favorites--these are volunteers from last year's crop.

What interesting flowers! Do they do other impressions? Do they work the Vegas strip?

Mine are all blue. Do you want to trade? Even though Love In a Mist spreads everywhere, I don't have a pink variety.

My dogs got banned to the garage when we put in wood floors 1 1/2 years ago. Much better for my health problems and I love cleaning my house now. No more dog hair.

FEED ME SEYMOUR! (in deep voice)
These are so interesting! Are they bulbs or self-seeding or just perennials? Well, I suppose I could look that up for myself, now couldn't I! HA!
Beautiful photos!
hugs!
